I'm not one for writing stuff in here....its seems rather pointless to me... I could go on about all the cool art related stuff I do every day but I don't like writing and I'm not going to pretend my life is something YOU NEED TO HEAR ABOUT lol.

But what makes today different is a gift I received from my ceramics professor Jay Gogin.

I walked into my ceramics class and returned the two books that I had borrowed from his personal library, one on contemporary raku and the other was on Ryoji Koie, Then we talked a bit about raku and then Mr. Gogin told me about how Mr. Koie came to FKCC and worked with him and how he got to do an exhibition with him in Japan and when at that exhibition he planed on buying on of Mr. Koie's tea bowls and was detered by the $10000 price tag. He then went into his office and grabed a Japanese tea bowl Mr. Koie made as a demo piece when he was at FKCC, handed it to me and said "I want you to have this." I could not thank Mr. Gogin enough... Since the piece was made by Mr. Koie its worth a considerable amount and the fact that Mr. Gogin gave it to me really got to me. I know he likes me my enthusiasm and my work but man...that made me feel loved.

And then my brother and my dad said I should sell it on ebay... Really? What the hell.
